Kattupakkam, located midway between Porur and Poonamallee is again the focus of residential housing development. One more company has advertised in The Hindu Property Plus today, a 130 unit apartment project called Jamals Luxor Kattupakkam, at a square foot price of Rs..4,300. This is advertised as being close to both Saveetha Dental College and Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Hospital. The fact that the new project is proposed close to Kumananchavadi junction shows, again, the growing importance of Kattupakkam. An earlier project is scheduled to be built by Prestige-Ratthas group.
